This boy LOVES his spaghetti! Lots of mmmmm’s and crying when there wasn’t more on his plate. Why are messy babies so cute? If I ate food by smashing it into my face and getting it all over people would think I’m mentally ill. lol
It’s been a while
I’m still here, alive and kick’n. Life has just been crazy busy. Let’s see…
- Sick kiddo
- Sick hubby
- Party planning
- ALL three kiddos’ birthdays in 3 weeks.
- FIRST birthday pictures (CRAZY!)
- Work, work and work
The rest of my life had been put on hold in the meantime. I’ve missed the Tumblr community though. I have missed the encouraging stories, knowing I’m not alone in my journey to be healthier and hearing other people’s journeys. I’m glad to be back.
We explored an awesome park today!! The rest of the park is small field and toddler playground. Then tucked in the back are these cement slides. Grab some wax paper and a cardboard box, and you have yourself a ton of fun. The big kiddos ran up the hill and slid back down a gazillion times. Now they’re passed out in bed!
My little girl and her first love are off to the Daddy-Daughter Dance. She is growing up so fast!
Thanks for all the well wishes! The race was great! I had so much fun and am so thankful for my running buddy. She just rocks! We’re definitely an “odd couple,” but we bring out the best runner in each other.
There is something contagious about a race. You can’t help, but to get excited and push yourself. I love the atmosphere. We did a walk/jog trade off. Our unofficial time was 46:10, a 14:40 pace. I was expecting closer to 50-something minutes and an 18 min pace, so I’m really happy with our time. The new shoes helped so much. It’s funny how I don’t always recognize how worn out my old shoes are until I get knew ones.
Now the big kiddos are playing in their rooms, and I’m going to copy Baby P in taking a nap.
Tomorrow is my 5K!!
It’s going to be slow, but it is going to be a blast! I’m just so excited to be able to do a race again!!!!!
Flashback Friday ~ Circa 2 years old
Oh the clothes!!
A look into the world of the kids I serve. This isn’t in another community or another place, this is in your community and is happening now. What will you do to help? (This is not easy to see, but it is powerful and true.)
Aaaaand we’ve hit the sleep-scooting, getting up on all fours and sitting up phase. No sleep for me! Yea! Baby P gets so upset at moving around in his sleep. Poor guy. While consoling Baby P, I read that this “sleep regression” phase lasts 3-6 weeks. Oh boy.
